LEARN MORE ABOUT HERO PUNK

In this presentation, Kanen will discuss the workflow around Scruffy.TV -- a collaborative, distributed company with editors, post, audio, color, compositors and VFX artists from around the world. He will discuss the workflow constraints, use of Dropbox and other tools for collaboration, his work on The Scruffy Show, HERO PUNK and other online content. He'll show scenes, composites and some final work -- all of which was created using this collaborative environment. He'll talk briefly about shooting on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and building a full-length feature film which was mostly shot on green screen.

Kanen will also share his soon-to-be-announced content distribution network; which allows filmmakers to connect with post professionals and gives everyone an opportunity to make money while creating content that will have sponsors, advertisers and a distribution network.

This presentation promises to be highly interactive, fun and entertaining. Kanen may or may not have a green mohawk.

- STEVE AUDETTE: ADOBE STORY, PART ONE

Adobe Story

Scriptwriting. Whether you're working on long-form or shorts, fiction or non-fiction, broadcast or web, everyone needs a good scriptwriting software. Adobe Story is the newest and most exciting writing tool to come into the market. Cloud based fully functional intelligent software that will change the way you work and collaborate.

Join Steve for an engaging "Part One" conversation on how Steve has been using Adobe Story since first released as the scriptwriting program on Steve's feature documentary. Steve will show you how he uses it and introduce you to this amazing software.

Steve AudetteABOUT STEVE AUDETTE
Steve Audette has been making documentaries for nearly 20 years.  With now close to 50 documentary credits, Audette's work has contributed to many Emmy Award-winning documentaries, as well as Peabody and DuPont Columbia Award-winning programs. In 2008 Steve was nominated for an Eddie Award from American Cinema Editors (A.C.E.), in the category of Best Documentary Editor for the Frontline documentary called Bush’s War. The film also went on to win a News and Documentary Emmy.  In the fall of 2011 Steve finished cutting three episodes of the special NOVA series Fabric of the Cosmos. In 2012 he has edited four hours on politics for the PBS pubic affairs series FRONTLINE. Steve is currently Senior Documentary Editor for Frontline.

In 2010 Steve expanded his production credits beyond editor to include producer, writer and director. The film short, Nico's Challenge, was the first documentary out of Audette's company, Mezzotint Films LLC. Audette says: "The story of Nico Calabria's climb was in the local paper. I called the family and asked if they shot any footage? The next day I'm screening the dailies and I knew I had a great story and a great little film."  Nico's Challenge has garnered wide acclaim in both national and international film festivals. Including a screening at Cannes.

In 2012 Steve produced, wrote, directed and edited a feature-length documentary for Mezzotint Films. Titled The Conviction of Officer Winfield, it is a poignantly disturbing family portrait of how, in an effort to protect children, the medical and legal establishment unleashed a tsunami of investigations, and in their wake, families on both sides try to pick up the pieces. this documentary holds a glimpse of our own vulnerabilities, and shows the horror and ease with which our own lives can get caught-up in the chaos of child terror. This program is scheduled to air on FRONTLINE in the fall of 2013.
