One Application per organization.
Applications will be accepted through October 14, 2013. The attendance of both the Executive Director and Board Chair at both days of the conference is mandatory.
We are pleased to announce a special opportunity available only to Alchemy Alumni. As a primary sponsor of this year’s annual BoardSource Leadership Forum, the Annenberg Foundation is able to offer complimentary registration to both the Executive Director and Board Chair of 25 selected nonprofits.
BoardSource Leadership Forum is the only national conference focused on the impact of nonprofit boards and the unique role they play in advancing the public good. The emphasis on nonprofit governance makes this conference an ideal way for you to build on the transformative work you accomplished in Alchemy. This year’s conference is on November 7 & 8 at the Century Plaza Hyatt Regency in Los Angeles. The two jam-packed days include sessions on a variety of key leadership topics and presentations from five big-thinking sector leaders, including Tim King, the founder, president and CEO of Urban Prep Academies.
When & Where
The Annenberg Foundation
Alchemy refers to the practice of turning something ordinary into something extraordinary. The Annenberg Foundation named its new capacity building program Alchemy, due to the belief that when executive directors and board ...chairs are aligned in common purpose, an unstoppable force for change will spark that will then transform organizations to a higher level of effectiveness.
Alchemy aims to reach aspiring nonprofit leaders, align executive directors and board chairs, and connect them to resources that will support their readiness to lead organizations and their ability to produce results, which in turn build healthy, resilient, and extraordinary communities.
We do this by bringing nationally respected facilitators and local practitioners together to instruct and guide interactive sessions for nonprofit leaders. Among the central issues addressed are effective fundraising, board effectiveness, public involvement, and accountability.
