Event Details

The Boardman Lecture and Symposium on Religion and Material Culture brings together scholars of a variety of religious traditions to discuss the ways in which materiality, embodiment, and emplacement form an integral part religious practice. The keynote lecture will be by David Morgan from Duke University, titled "Phenomenology & Network Theory: A Collaborative Model for the Study of Religious Material Culture." The symposium will feature: Anna Kim, University of Virginia; Kaja McGowan, Cornell University; and Christoph Emmrich, University of Toronto.
