The workshop is the first one in the career workshop series organized by Berkeley Lab Postdoc Association that aim to help postdocs at the lab improve their professional development skills that are needed in planning and achieving a successful career.

Job interview is an important yet challenging step to successfully landing a position. This 2­ hours workshop will cover commonly encountered challenges while preparing, during and after the interview process, as well as measures that can be taken to address them.

About the speaker :

Michel Foure joined Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2010. He was the BATT Program Manager for the Batteries for Advanced Transportation Technologies Program in the Energy Storage & Distributed Resources Division. He also served as the Research Operations Deputy for the Energy Storage & Distributed Resources Division. Prior to joining LBNL, Michel spent his career in Industry in the chemical branch of oil and gas companies Elf, then Total, and finally Arkema where he was Director of R&D for various divisions of Arkema. During his career in the Chemical Industry, Michel recruited over a hundred scientists from the best schools in the U.S. and in the world. To that effect he interviewed an estimated 1,500 candidates (and read well over 15,000 resumes!)
