When and Where?
The Hackathon will take place on Saturday February 25th, from 9AM-7PM, at the newest UCSD Extension facility: University City Center, 6256 Greenwich Drive, San Diego, CA 92122 (Parking: Free)

Start planning your app, develop it in one day, meet people, meet the experts from BlackBerry, have fun and earn prizes!
Every team member who develops an app during the BlackBerry Hackathon in San Diego, and presents it in the end, gets a FREE BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet 16GB.
Prizes and Categories
Each winning team will receive one brand new BlackBerry device.
The categories are:
- Best App
- Best Game
- Best E-Commerce App
- Best User Interface Design
Apps will be judged based on the the criteria below and weighted accordingly:
25% Weight - Viability of business model
25% Weight - Design quality
25% Weight - Originality of idea
25% Weight - Fully functioning PlayBook App
Each team will have 3 minutes to present its PlayBook app.
9 am – 9:30 am: Arrivals and breakfast
9:30 am – 10:00 am: Introductions and presentation
10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Open hacking time
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: 3 minute presentations
7:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Awards and closing
* Maximum 5 people per team
