"Summer of CODE 2013 - The Remix"

Crowdfunding Campaign

Thursday, June 20th, 2013

Allow us to re-introduce ourselves:

We are Black Girls CODE, a nonprofit organization whose mission has transformed to a global movement to give young girls of color the tools to become inventors, leaders and creators of their own future in the world’s technology economy. To date we have educated and introduced computer programming to over 1,200 girls of color (Black, Latina and Native American).

Join us screen the Black Girls CODE short documentary with Black Girls CODE Founder, Kimberly Bryant. The event will help support our expanded Summer of CODE 2013 and bring our mobile lab to 10 new cities and reach 2,000 more girls. In addition, we will discuss the development of New York City Chapter of Black Girls CODE.

Since last year's Summer of CODE 2012 campaign, Black Girls CODE has received request from over 80 cities around the nation and Caribbean Islands asking us to bring our workshops to their community. Dedicated to our mission we are once again bootstrapping and looking for your help to join us on our mission in building the next generation of techies in these 10 new cities.

Together we can #ChangeTheRatio #1GirlAtATime.
