This workshop will teach participants to build their own unique webpage in one day using fun games and activities to introduce HTML, CSS, and basic web structure.
All BGC workshops are geared towards introducing participants to the technological universe and encouraging them to pursue careers as Tech Creators and Entrepreneurs. This event is intended for girls ages 10-17.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Memphis Chapter of the Society of Information Management received by Memphis Public Library, the Whitehaven Branch is partnering with Black Girls Code to offer this workshop free of charge to girls ages 10 - 17.
Check-in will begin at 9:00AM, and the workshop will start promptly at 10:00AM. Registration for this workshop is FREE. Participants do not need to bring their own computers. Access will be provided to a computer workstation during the workshop. Lunch will also be provided.
While this workshop is FREE, space is limited. So sign up soon to secure your spot! Once you register for this event please complete the online student profile forms and emergency contact forms which can be found at this link on our website: http://www.blackgirlscode.com/parents.html. Please bring signed copies of these forms to the event. Those girls who have not checked in by 9:45AM will risk losing their seats.
