Event Details

Welcome to Austin from the Austin Food Blogger Alliance, Austin Food & Wine Alliance, and Whole Foods Market!

In honor of bloggers around the country coming to Austin to celebrate food blogging, The Austin Food Blogger Alliance and Austin Food & Wine Alliance are partnering with Whole Foods Market for a female chef showcase! Food bloggers only are invited to this celebration of the Austin food community, featuring bites from some of Austin's best female chefs. The party will be on the rooftop plaza of Whole Foods Market flagship store in downtown Austin, accessible from the stairs in the front of the store. We'll have an unforgettable evening full of seasonal inspired dishes, local drinks, and friendships new and old. We hope you'll join us!

The Austin Food Blogger Alliance (AFBA) was formed in 2011 and includes more than 150 Central Texas food bloggers in its membership. AFBA members support each other and the community through classes, social events, and philanthropic activities. The group is the first formal, non-profit blogger organization of its kind organized in the United States, and serves as a model for similar groups across the country. AFBA's first cookbook was published by The History Press in 2013.

The Austin Food & Wine Alliance is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to fostering awareness and innovation in the Central Texas culinary community through grants, educational programming and events. Guided by an all-volunteer board of directors and committees made up of culinary-and-community-minded professionals, the Alliance’s commitment is to promote Texas food, wine, spirits and craft brews and to increase appreciation of Texas’ culinary impact.
