For the next Triangle Bitcoin Meetup @AU we will be discussing the Bitcoin peer-to-peer network and... a Bitcoin conference is coming to town!
Phil Champagne, author of "The Book of Satoshi: The Collected Writings of Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto" will share his work and plug his book. Book on Amazon
Have you wondered how big the network needs to be to sustain itself?
Local developer and Mensa Bitcoin Special Interest Group founder Jameson Lopp will discuss his recent project: Statoshi, a Bitcoin node that provides metrics on the types of traffic flowing through it.
More info on the Statoshi project can be found here.
We are also pleased to echo the announcement of the Cryptolina Bitcoin Conference which will be taking place August 15 and 16 at the Raleigh Convention Center. Conference organizers will be here to discuss their vision cryptocurrency in our local community.
All are welcome to attend.
While food and beverage will not be provided by hosts for this event, AU@Main has recently installed an automated market kiosk with a selection of snacks and beverages. The self checkout system doesn't accept Bitcoin... yet - but seems like a perfect candidate for this technology. Check it out!
