The format of the meeting will be an afternoon session on the Thursday featuring presentations on the above topics.  This will be followed by a cash bar reception.  The Friday morning session will be a special panel on synergistic bio-based opportunities with the mining sector.  The schedule is as follows:

Thursday, September 11

Afternoon meeting session:       2:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Cash bar reception:                   5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Friday, September 12

Morning session:                       9:00 am – 11:45 am

The Network is an outcome of FPAC’s Biopathways Project and  was established in March 2011 to foster business-to-business relationships between Canadian forest companies and companies outside the sector – all of whom are interested in converting wood fibre into high value bio-based materials or products.  The Network has enjoyed tremendous growth over the last three years with over 400 participants engaged.  For more information on the Network or to access summaries of past meetings visit:  http://www.fpac.ca/index.php/en/bio-pathways-network  (click on the “Network Meetings” tab for the meeting summaries).

Objectives for this meeting are to provide a forum for networking, information exchange and highlight the opportunities to leverage local opportunities with the mining sector in Ontario and across the country.  It is expected that approximately 60 persons from industry, finance, government, business development organizations, and others will attend.  Participation in the Network meeting is free.
