In the dos a dos binding, two books share a center cover board with the foredge opening of one opposite the foredge of the other, with the books' configuration similar to the shape of the letter Z. In this workshop we will make a small hardcover book bound in this style and discuss the creative possibilities for using this structure.

Book Arts Workshop
The Book Arts Program at Dartmouth College consists of a Letterpress Studio and Bindery Studio. It is open to all levels of experience; instruction on using the printing presses and in binding books is given. There is no fee to use the studios or to attend workshops but participants are expected to follow posted guidelines for cleaning up after themselves and putting away type. Failure to do so may result in studio privileges being revoked. The studios are open Fall, Winter, and Spring term. See our website for more information.
