BIM is an affordable, effective and efficient tool for small firms to optimize your design processes, communicate ideas, streamline documentation, and sell your designs through elegant visualization. Join us in Portland, ME on September 9th! This workshop will allow participants to gain personal experience utilizing BIM technology in a real-world application. Participants will see the benefits of BIM first-hand and learn how the technology is positioning small firms to be more competitive, productive and profitable.

Presenter: Yanni Alexakis, Product Manager, GRAPHISOFT
Yanni Alexakis received his Degree in Architectural Engineering in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1990 and then became the youngest registered architect in Greece at the age of 23. Being a self-professed “computer geek” since his early college years, in 1993, Yanni was hired to assist in the development of tools of the trade.
Yanni worked in almost every phase of several projects while in Europe. However, in 1998, he moved permanently to the United States where he has continued to push for the adaptation of new technologies.
In 2005, Yanni settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Director of Design & Technology for Rhodes Homes, developing a pioneering process for designing and manufacturing homes. At the end of 2006 he joined Lucchesi Galati in a flexible role that has allowed him to contribute to the firm in many areas, but especially in guiding our technological advances.
Since 2010, he is the Product Manager of GRAPHISOFT North America, working as a liaison between the ArchiCAD development and the Architects in US & Canada as well as managing the Technical Support team..
