Ever thought about making your university more bicycle friendly? Join Bike Maryland for a free Bicycle Friendly University Workshop held at Hood College on Thursday, January 16 from 9:00am-1:00pm (lunch will be provided by Hood College). The purpose of this event is to help make colleges and universities in Maryland a safer place to ride for transportation and recreation, and Bike Maryland will provide information about the League of American Bicyclists' Bicycle Friendly University Program.
Bike Maryland will cover the Five E's of bicycle infrastructure (Engineering, Encouragement, Education, Enforcement, and Evaluation/Planning), feature presentations from the Maryland Department of Transortation, the University of Maryland, a Silver Bike Friendly University, and allow attendees time to identify issues, set priorities, and organize an action plan for making their campus more bicycle friendly.
The location of the workshop is the Cohen Hospitality Suite in the Hood College Athletic Center (building no. 3 on this map).
