Big Sunday’s Valentine-Making, Bingo-Playing Community Dinner
Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (PST)
Los Angeles, CA
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Everyone is invited to Big Sunday’s first-ever Valentine-Making, Bingo-Playing Community Dinner. The family-friendly event (that includes something for everyone) will jumpstart the holiday of love with scores of valentine card-making to bring to seniors, shut-ins, people in shelters, military families and more. The fete will also include a DIY instructional on how to make Big Sunday’s signature paper mache flower pots. Guests can also try their luck during our Bingo Bonanza, and because Big Sunday is committed to building community – and eating well - we will host a not-to-be-missed community dinner for all partygoers.
Participants are welcome to bring Hershey’s kisses and other wrapped candies for Valentine’s grab bags that will be distributed to organizations and individuals in need of a bit of TLC. In addition, Big Sunday will be accepting donations of hot chocolate and marshmallows for the February “End of the Month Club,” an ongoing initiative to help fight hunger. Contributed items will benefit Covenant House (per their special request), a non-profit agency whose mission is to reach at-risk homeless youth living on the streets and offer them hope and opportunities to turn their lives around.
For more info, to RSVP or to volunteer, please contact Lindsey at Lindsey@bigsunday.org or 323-549-9944. Valentine’s Day can be a tough holiday for some, so we invite the public to this event to spend time in a festive atmosphere showing a bit of love, care and appreciation for individuals and families in need.
