Have you ever had one of those chats with family or friends where they give you the blank stare; like you're speaking a different language? Yeah, that happens to us, too. It's because we're artists. We're creatives. We make things.
Creativity and art is so close to the core of our identity, that it changes the way we see the world. We will see things in ways that the others don't.
You're not alone. You are part of a tribe that understands you.
Take a few hours to step away from your computer, and spend a little time with some new friends. We understand where you're coming from. We see the world like you do. You'll be surprised how refreshing it can be.
When we get together, we'll spend some time talking about what inspires us, or participating in a creative activity. Then chat about a particular topic. In the past we've talked about our personal and organizational creative processes, and shared and expanded ideas.
Our challenge is to connect creatives in the Colorado Front Range (Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder, Loveland, Fort Collins, etc). Whether you're a designer, artist, musician, producer, videographer, filmmaker, audio techs...whatever. We want to encourage you that you're not alone, and share ideas and solutions to tell our stories better.
The February meet-up is hosted by Southeast Christian Church in Parker.
Feel free to share this event with your creative friends.
