New Orleans Mission

Founded in 1989, the New Orleans Mission and its services have helped thousands of struggling people jumpstart their lives by temporarily providing clothing, food, overnight emergency shelter and job placement, with all of the resources coming by generous donations and grants. New Orleans holds one of the worst homeless ratios in the nation. Since Hurricane Katrina, the homeless population in New Orleans has skyrocketed from 6,000 to about 17,000 people. Located in the heart of downtown, the New Orleans Mission is the largest private service provider for the homeless in the city. After Hurricane Katrina, the Mission renewed its vision to serve the least, the last and the lost, and is now excited to be used by God to continue bringing hope and restoration to struggling people in New Orleans.
