Welcome to the 44th Annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest!

Enjoy one of the country’s top rated Oktoberfest’s. Nestled high in the San Bernardino mountains, we pride ourselves in throwing one of the best German celebrations this side of Munich. New This Year - two bands direct from Germany and additional Free contests.

The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest has been celebrating friends, family and good times for more than 40 years. Rated Southern California's #1 Oktoberfest celebration, the first keg this year will be tapped on Saturday, September 13 and the festivities run for seven consecutive weekends through Saturday, October 25.

Be sure to stay tuned to www.bigbearevents.com - the official website of the Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest - for all the details on events, to pre-purchase tickets and browse each week's photo gallery.

Once you’ve arrived, come on in, grab yourself a seat and get comfortable for a full day of fun.

Dance, Sing, Eat and Be Merry.

You can’t help but participate in the fun at Oktoberfest. Put on your dancing shoes, because you’ll definitely want to do the Chicken Dance or Circle Dance. Grab one of our Gaudi’s (Hostesses/Hosts) and learn to polka.

Enter one of our free contests. Saw a log, hold a stein, or slam an O’Doul’s. And, new this year, even more opportunities to participate with the addition of both the Log Sawing and Steinholding contests on the outside Spaten Rocktoberfest Stage.

After a few rounds of polkas, Macarana’s, Chicken dances, etc., get outside and take a big breath of fresh mountain air. Take a stroll down the Budenstrasse (Avenue of the Booths). The outside vendor and game area features everything from beef jerky and homemade jams, to handmade jewelry and vintage clothes. Have your palm read or simply enjoy some fresh roasted almonds.

Little Oktoberfest fans will enjoy the Kinder Garten complete with bounce houses, face painting, airbrush tattoos and carnival games. Making his fourth appearance at Oktoberfest, Samson The Bull will once again offer folks of all ages a ride they are sure to remember.

Getting Hungry

We serve up a German feast fit for a king. All the favorites from Brats, to Schweine Braten, to pretzels, to pickled pigs feet.

And, if you’re looking for something more than German food, we offer that too. Hans' German Cantina serves a variety of Tex-Mex entrees including Slow Smoked Pork Tacos, Brat Burritos, Southwest Cobb Salad, Kickin' Chicken Fajitas, and Monster Nachos. The Wurst Wagnon, located in the Shock Top Bier Garten, grills up hamburgers, cheeseburgers, Brats, Beer Cheese and Split Pea Soups, and beverages.

All German food and alcoholic beverages are purchased with tickets. There are five convenient ticket booth locations within the building to purchase tickets. Ticket types include: Dinner, Sandwich, Beer, Wine and Burgermeister Bucks. Burgermeister Bucks can be used for both food and can be purchased individually or in books of $40.00.

Getting Thirsty

The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest proudly pours both German and American bier & wine, as well as a variety of soft drinks, water, coffee and sports drinks.

There are two main inside bars and two outside bier gardens – the Warsteiner Bier Garten and the Spaten Bier Garten. Looking for the best deal on beer? Nothing better than having a great time and saving a little too! Buy a stein. The beer cup sizes are 14 oz. and 32 oz. Our steins sizes start at 16.9 oz. and increase to 33.1 oz. You do the math. We also offer mini kegs, which are 5 liter cans. Mini kegs are $49.00 and pour 11+ 14 oz. cups.

Purchase a beer booklet for ten beers and save $.50 per beer!

Treasure a Memory

Be sure to stop by the Oktoberfest Shoppe and pick-up an Oktoberfest souvenir. We offer everything from Sweatshirts, to T-shirts, to hair wreaths, to magnets, to steins and much more.

Auf Wiedersehen

After a full day of Oktoberfest fun, leave the driving to us. Catch a ride on the O’Doul’s complimentary shuttle. The shuttles begin running at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evenings and will take you door-to-door in the Big Bear Valley. The shuttles continue to operate until the last Oktoberfest fan is out of the building! Please note the shuttles will not take you to any other establishment that sells alcoholic beverages.
