Join us for a bicycle tour of featured streetscapes projects around the City!
The City has dozens of streetscape projects in the works and dozens more that have been completed and that people are enjoying today. A streetscape project transforms our bustling corridors and improves the public's experience along the public realm. The program to improve these important spaces demonstrates best practices in design and highlights the value of landscaping, lighting and pedestrian safety on city streets.
Each project is tailored to each street, neighborhood and community. Streetscape improvement projects include sidewalk extensions, bulb-outs, crosswalk treatments, enhancements to pedestrian countdown signals, street tree plantings, median expansion, traffic lighting, bicycle improvements, and public art elements.
Check out the list of Public Works’ streetscapes projects here: http://sfdpw.org/streetscapes.
This tour will highlight the best of the best, led by our team of project managers, engineers and landscape architects.
