One of our speakers, Elaine Barber will provide an overview of a newly created collaboration sponsored by the Greater Houston Partnership. For example, public and private sector partnerships can broaden opportunities to prepare young people for college and careers. Through collaboration business and education can produce a greater skilled and better prepared workforce that in turn enhances economic stability and growth.
Dear Friends of Beyond Careers,
Beyond Careers is hosting its 2nd Annual Education Symposium on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Raindrop Turkish House. This initiative will be for families, community, businesses and other stakeholders.
Beyond Careers targets low-to-moderate income (LMI) families and individuals in the Greater Houston and surrounding areas. This includes K-12 students.
There will be information for families to be aware of what magnet, charter and regular schools have to offer. In addition, we will provide information on post-secondary education.
There will also be a Silent Auction/Raffle
