Event Details

Join Howard Film Culture for the D.C. Premiere of BETTER MUS’ COME and experience this stunning film that critics claim, sets new standards for Jamaican independent film, with other capital cities across the world for ONE DAY ONLY! There will be a Q&A with the film's writer/director Storm Saulter along with complimentary Jamaican 'eats' immediately following the film.

BETTER MUS’ COME, Storm Saulter's debut feature film is a powerful love story set amidst the political turmoil of 1970's Jamaica. Winner of the Best Feature Awards at Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival and Bahamas International Film Festival, Best Director Award at Pan-African Film Festival and Best Actor Award at the American Black Film Festival, the film has screened at Toronto International Film Festival, Film Society of Lincoln Center and the British Film Institute.

Howard Film Culture continues our partnership with the African American Film Festival Releasing Movement in presenting this 'riveting' film.  Your ticket for BETTER MUS’ COME helps to support our efforts in promoting a "local=global" film culture in Washington, D.C.
