Best Ride Ever Ride
Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM (PDT)
The San Joaquin Bike Coalition and Cycles Gladiator are hosting a 50k or 100k ride through the beautiful Lodi wine region and Sierra Foothills. The ride will end with wine tasting, lunch, and a raffle. The 50k is a nice mild ride with little to no elevation gain, and will lead you around through the wineries of Acampo and Woodbridge while everything is in bloom. The 100k not only takes you through the Lodi wine country, but serves up over 1000ft of climbing and tours Lake Camanche. We will have three recharge stations spread out along the course.
All bikes are welcome! Once you are done riding you will be greeted with high fives, food, wine, and music!
Registration will be between 7am and 8:45am at Cycles Gladiator's Winery. The 100k riders will start at 8am and the 50k riders will start at 9am. Each rider should carry a minimum of a spare tube, patch kit, bike pump or CO2, cell phone, money, identification, and a full water bottle. Each rider must sign a waiver at the event, wear a helmet, and obey traffic laws. No helmet, No ride.
Q: Is there a cap on how many people can do the 50k? Will there be number bibs?
A: There will be a cap of 150 to 200 riders for the 50k depending how many riders decide to do the 100k. Currently we do not plan to have bib numbers, but will have some type of identifying mark for each rider.
Q: I there a an age limit?
A: You must be old enough to ride 50K + without stopping and if you are under 18 you will need a parent or guardian to sign you in the day of the ride.
Q: Can I ride any type of bike?
A: Yes....but you must be able to ride 50k in under 4hrs on it.
