Course Summary: This month's meeting about Best Practices in Internal Audit.  Specifically, we are focusing on best practices related to two topics: Relationship Development and Audit Planning.  See details below:

  • Relationship Development: This course provides the participants with the knowledge of how to identify, build, and maintain a strong business relationship. These relationships could be client relationships or audit team relationships. The goal is to focus on what it means to be a strong communicator and have even stronger communication skills. This program includes communication mistakes, listening, as well as controlling and managing meetings.
  • Audit Planning: This course provides and discusses the critical components to planning an audit effectively and efficiently from the “understanding” phase of planning up to and including the program development for execution. Additionally, this course includes strategic objective development, adequate coverage of high risk, and communication of the planning approach.
