Morning Session: IIA Global Condition, the International Professional Practices Framework, and Changes to Internal Auditing Standards
Speaker: Heriot Prentice, MIIA, FIIA, QiCA
Heriot Prentice is Director, Standards and Guidance at The IIA. He is responsible for The IIA’s activities in developing and maintaining the International Professional Practices Framework. Prior to this was responsible to the Advanced Technology Committee who are responsible for the development of the GTAG series and the development of the Guide to the Assessment of IT general controls based on Risk Prior to joining the IIA, Prentice was employed at Deloitte as a Senior Manager, where he managed the provision of the IT audit and consultancy services to both public and private sector. He specialized in data mining to identify savings and potential fraud. He managed the delivery of a BS7799\ISO17799 risk assessment methodology. Prentice is a Member and Fellow of the Institute of Internal Auditors. Prentice is also a trained user of EnCase Forensic, the Standard in Computer investigation and Forensics. He currently serves as the staff liaison to the Internal Auditing Standards Board.
