Known as the “Showplace of the South”, the beautiful Alabama Theatre in Birmingham boasts a 4/32 Mighty Wurlitzer. Opening in 1927, the Alabama was originally the flagship theatre in the Southeast for the Paramount-Publix Corporation, and is still home to its Publix 1, affectionately known as “Big Bertha”.
