Welcome to our Bergen Community College Day of Service.


Our Day of Service is an opportunity for members of the Bergen Community, whose schedules might otherwise prohibit them from coming together, to be able to share meaningful time in a relaxed congenial atmosphere.  Casual attire requested.  There are no classes on this day.

Topic:  Creating a Campus Chapter for the NJ Women in Higher Education Network by Dr. Reva Curry, New Jersey State Coordinator and Board Chair NJ Women in Higher Education Network, & Executive Director, Stockton Center for Community Engagement

Description:  For over 20 years, the NJ Women in Higher Education Network (formerly NJ ACE Network) has been providing professional development and networking opportunities for  New Jersey’s women in higher education.  It is a network of the American Council in Education Women’s Network and its goals are the same as the six Ideals of the  national body.  We work to:  Identify women leaders, Develop their leadership abilities, Encourage the use of those abilities, Advance women’s careers; Link them to other women and mentors; and Support women in mid- and executive level positions throughout their careers. This session will review what it takes to start a campus chapter at Bergen Community College.
