Bergamot Station Arts Center Proposals: Community Meeting

The City of Santa Monica invites you to a public meeting to meet the three development teams who were invited to submit proposals in response to the City of Santa Monica's Request for Proposals (RFP) for the City-owned site located at 2525 Michigan Avenue, known as the "Bergamot Station Arts Center." City staff from Economic Development, Planning and Community Development, Cultural Affairs, Public Works and Big Blue Bus will also be in attendance to help answer questions about the site, the City's leasing and development guidelines, the multi-year community process leading to the RFP, as well as overall guiding public policy objectives governing the site's designation as a community cultural arts center (e.g. Bergamot Area Plan, City of Santa Monica Creative Capital strategy).
6:00 - 6:20 p.m.: Registration
6:20 - 6:30 p.m.: Welcome and City of Santa Monica Staff Overview of the Bergamot Station RFP
6:30 -7:45 p.m.: Development Team Presentations--ReThink Development/Kor Group; Bergamot Station Ltd/ Worthe Real Estate Group; and 26Street TOD Partners LLC.
7:45 - 8:30 p.m.: Q + A and Community Feedback
Access Information: Parking is FREE in the Bergamot Station lot, entrance on Michigan Avenue (off of Cloverfield/26th St). Park inside the lot and walk to the SW corner, Bldg i. Big Blue Bus Line #5, 6 or 7 (26th St or Cloverfield) are within walking distance: www.bigbluebus.com. Pedestrian access via Michigan Avenue, 26th St (near Olympic) or Stewart St (via the Agensys public art walk at 1800 Stewart St).
The event is FREE and open to the public. Prior to the meeting, we encourage you to explore Bergamot Station Arts Center and visit the galleries, cafe, theater and museum.
