In February 2015, the Buy Local Santa Monica Committee in partnership with the Santa Monica Daily Press launched the 2nd Annual "Most Loved Santa Monica" businesses competition.  We invited our residents, local employees and our visitors to participate.  From most loved local bike shop to the favorite Santa Monica Farmers Markets' vendor, we put the call out to discover and celebrate the Most Loved Businesses in Santa Monica.  We wanted to know which businesses our locals can't live without, which ones put smiles on their faces when they drop in, the ones we most want to celebrate because they're so awesome.  And what a great response, 3,000 people votes this year trebling participating and making it one of the most talked about contests in town.  On April 28th we will announce the winners and provide them with City of Santa Monica commendations at the City Council Meeting.
