BENT - SATURDAY, MAY 24 AT 8PM
"... People made pain and called it love. I don't want to be like that. You don't make love to hurt." - Bent
"Powerful and provocative." The New York Times
Bent, set in 1930's Nazi Germany, is a play by Martin Sherman revolving around two men caught up in the depravities of an all-controlling government gone mad. The play, though written at the end of the 70's, rings true today for anyone who feels different from the "norm du jour" and yet it re-affirms the ever-so-human notion that hope, friendship, comfort and even love can be found in the worst of circumstances...
"Brilliant...an explosive, overpowering experience." - Women's Wear Daily
Cast of Characters: Max- Kyle Woods, Horst- Christopher Ramage, Uncle Freddy- Michael Sullivan, Greta- Bob Edes Jr., Wolf- David Bartholomew
Director- Fred Nuccio
"... after "Bent" first stunned audiences with its raw honesty, it still has the power to shock ---- not so much for its content, but for the fact that homosexuals are still fighting for the simple right to live and love in peace." - U-T San Diego
