We are organizing a Pitch Night to give benevolent media creators a chance to showcase their pitches and proposals in captivating 3-minute presentations, for a chance to win cash prizes to make their idea a reality.

Join us for a night of sharing about how to make the world a better place through storytelling and design.

A distinguished panel of judges will vote on the Grand Prize winner ($2,000.)

The rest of the audience also gets to cast their vote on what project to fund with a People's Choice Award, using a portion of the money pooled from the price of admission ($5 from each person's ticket.)

This event will be held during Digital Capital Week, a weeklong festival in Washington, D.C. focused on bringing together designers, developers, entrepreneurs and social innovators of all kinds.

Benevolent Media

Benevolent Media is a media and events company dedicated to celebrating storytelling and design for good.

We do this in three ways:

  1. Solutions-based editorial content on our website;
  2. Monthly community events, hosted in partnership with cause-oriented groups; and,
  3. An annual festival, convening mediamakers and changemakers to share best practices, case studies and special projects.

We focus on people, organizations and projects that compel audiences to care about a cause, take action on an issue, or promote a point of view through strategic and inspiring multimedia.
