Rick Christenberry, our friend and Mooresville native (MSHS Class of 1970), received a heart transplant on July 28, 2012. Rick has no healthcare insurance and you can imagine the financial difficulties that this medical miracle has created for Rick. Not only for the transplant itself, but also for the post-operative rehabilitation, and the expensive medications that must be continued for years after the transplant!
Rick's friends have joined together to have a Benefit for Rick at River City Bar and Grill (near the 150 bridge) on Sunday, June 2, from 4-8 PM.
Yes, Rick had more hair when he was 18!
Music will be provided by many musicians with roots in or ties to Mooresville and Lake Norman:
The Barkley Brothers
Golddust Band (Reincarnation)
Adam & Travis ("Acoustic")
Vic Rorer & Stan Barkley (Showdown Band)
D.J. Donnie "Fish" Meadows
Rick Christenberry, #13, MSHS 1970
PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY!
Donations accepted at the door.
If you are unable to attend, but would like to support Rick, please send a check payable to "RICK CHRISTENBERRY" to:
