Returning for a fourth concert in the Tampa Bay area, Haitian singer-songwriter and guitarist Belo will provide a spellbinding artistic performance in an intimate setting to an audience of die-hard fans.
A maverick on the world music scene Jean Bélony Murat, or “BélO” to his fans, has wowed crowds throughout the world since his debut album. His music is a skillfull blend of jazz, reggae, rock, world beat and Haitian Rara cleverly named “Ragganga.”
About Anba Tonel: Music and Artistic Series
Anba Tonel showcases the best Haiti has to offer: its music and art. The Series is being held in 4 parts this year. Following an electrifying performance by singer-songwriter Wanito in November 11, 2012, the upcoming event will be held on Feb 23, 2013 at the University Area Community Development Center.
The Greater Tampa Bay is home to one of the fastest growing community of people from Haiti and the Caribbean. This series strive to bring a unique and rich cultural experience to world music lovers while educating them about Haiti past present and future as well as its significant place in history.
