Beginning Jewelry Making

An introduction to traditional metal-smithing techniques, including sawing, filing, soldering, riveting, surface texturing, sanding, and polishing. Students may choose from brass or copper sheet metal to start with. Sterling silver, additional metals, and semiprecious stones may be purchased from the studio. Beginning projects are suggested. Advanced students are free to pursue their own independent study.
