Teacher: Ms. Seiko Yoneyama Sanchez
Textbook: Japanese for Busy People, Vol. 1 Revised 3rd Edition (romanized version), lessons 8-16. JBP Volume 1 Workbook is also used for more listening and conversation practice. Teaching materials and lesson content covered may vary slightly from class to class. Students are responsible for purchasing textbooks.
Beginning II will cover topics such as: going by taxi, existence, places and locations, tickets and telephoning. The Beginning Series focuses primarily on the development of basic conversational skills and an understanding of Japanese as it is currently spoken in Japan. Please note that Beginning I is for students with NO previous Japanese experience. Beginning II, Beginning III, etc., assume some familiarity with the language. Check the book for a gauge of your level.
