Event Details

Please join us to learn everything you need to know to get started in beekeeping. Whether you are a beginner with one hive or just don't know where to start, this course is for you. Highlands County Extension and the Honey Bee Research and Extension Lab at the University of Florida are happy to offer this one-day short course that will cover everything from honey bee anatomy to beekeeping equipment and so much more! We have live bee colonies on site for hands-on learning, we provide all the tools and protective gear for everyone. Lunch is provided.
