Becoming a Compassionate Leader
Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM (CST)
Are you interested in creating social change but don't know how to do it?
Curious about whether it's possible to do good for others and still do well financially?
Looking for meaningful career choices, or even unclear about what you want to do "when you grow up"?
Join best-selling author, Lodro Rinzler, on how to become a more authentic person and the leader this world needs. This event is intended for anyone who wants to live their existent life in a sane way that benefits the world around them. We are all asked to be leaders at some point - whether you are the founder of a start-up or a new dad - and compassion is the tool to aide us in that endeavor. Lodro bridges a 2600 year old meditation tradition and our modern technology world in order to highlight how this practical tool of compassion can aide us in transforming the world for the better.

The Harvey Najim Center for Business Innovation and Social Responsibility
This event explores the intersections of business, technology and law. We hope this is a unique, timely and practical opportunity for collaborative learning across boundaries - academic, professional and social - to students, alumni and guests.
The Harvey Najim Center for Business Innovation and Social Responsibility works with students, faculty, and businesses to provide opportunities for collaboration on real world projects.
We create interdisciplinary and cross-functional opportunities for learning in the areas of business innovation and social responsibility by identifying projects with global, local, and non-profit organizations.
We match St. Mary's students working towards degrees in business, law, and/or engineering with these projects, faculty supervisors, and other experts. Through these teams, we create low cost, high quality consulting opportunities for businesses and unique learning opportunities for our students. For more information or to learn about how to apply for a project as a business or student, please contact Suz Burroughs at email@example.com.
