Event Details

 

At Baystate Health, we understand that diversity and inclusion are a business imperative. In alignment with our business goals, development goals and in support of our community, we are pleased to announce the Baystate Health Diversity & Inclusion Conference, a conference offering the region’s diversity champions and leaders inspiration and best practices sharing to build and support a business imperative of diversity and inclusion. The event will provide a unique opportunity to collaborate, share best practices, and collectively define what diversity and inclusion means for our region.

 

The one-day conference will feature keynote speakers, skill development, best practice sessions, networking and will cover the following topics:

  • Building the business case and demonstrating the business imperative for diversity & inclusion
  • How to be an effective diversity champion
  • Connecting diverse employees to organizational objectives
  • Mentoring across difference
  • Leveraging inclusion to drive successful customer relationships
  • Using your power of influence and privilege to advance diversity work as a diversity champion
  • Enhancing inclusive leadership skills

Our goal is to create an conference that becomes an important diversity and inclusion educational experience for our region.

Untapped Talent: Unleashing the Power of the Hidden Workforce

Author Dani Monroe will offer a skill building workshop based on her talent management book, Untapped Talent: Unleashing the Power of the Hidden Workforce. The premise of her book and basis of her session is to help leaders and managers focus on mid-level or "B"/"C" employees and better understand the pool of traits and skills that they have access to in their existing workforce. She will discuss how organizations can successfully mine these essential traits and skills that can help transform those individuals and subsequently the entire organization.
