Everything you ever wanted to know about riding in the MS150 with Team BCO.

October in Houston can mean only one thing, it's registration time for the MS150 ride from Houston to Austin.  If you’ve ever thought about participating in the MS150 ride but didn't because you were not quite sure what to expect, then join us to learn everything you ever wanted to know.

If you’re a seasoned veteran, then just come out and say “hi!”

We'll go through the event from A-Z and answer any questions you may have about the ride.

 We'll discuss:

    * Registration

    * Fundraising requirements and tips

    * Benefits of riding with Team BCO

    * Training Series

    * Equipment you may need for your ride

    * Overnight lodging at the Bed & Breakfast

    * How to get back to Houston

    * Anything else you may have a question about

  • Cynthia with Bike Barn Fit Studio will be demonstrating proper bike fit.

  • Judy with Urban Bicycle Gallery will be helping people with gear tips and bike maintenance.

  • Kristina with Egoscue will be providing exercises and tips on how to avoid riding injuries and stresses.

  • Sergio with Simply Relaxation Massage will be providing you with stretches and tips on staying and comfortable and relaxed while training.

So, if you've put off riding the MS150 this is the year to join us. Whether you're new to cycling or haven't been on a bike in years, our team and training will get you across the finish line - one of the more rewarding experiences you'll have.

BCO will be there to support you every pedal stroke of the way.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Typically most BCO events are for adults.  But, we do love kids.  If you believe your child is capable of keeping up with the group, no problem.  AND if this is a bike ride they MUST wear a helmet.  Questions?  Contact us at info@bayoucityoutdoors.com

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We add parking details to the Event descriptions.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

If the temperature is above 80 or it very clearly says "No Dogs" then please don't bring your dog.  We LOVE dogs and only make this rule if we feel there could be a safety concern (for the dogs of course:).

BIKE: If it is a bike ride: Bring a helmet or borrow one from us.  Helmets are the single most important piece of gear you can have on a bike ride.  Anyway, any time you are wearing a helmet you must be having fun!

Bring water.  Frequently our events are in the woods or out of the way.  Water is important.

HIKE: If it is a hiking event wear comfortable shoes.  Athletic shoes, hiking boots, running shoes, just be sure your feet will be happy.

SOCIAL: If it is a social event?  Wear whatever YOU feel comfortable in.  We are an eclectic mix of people with all types of interests and jobs.  People will come straight from work in a suit or jeans, straight from running or working out, and some of us even come cleaned up straight from the shower!  (and everything in between)

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

info@bayoucityoutdoors.com or 713-524 3567

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Can I update my registration information?

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Printed ticket or download the EventBright app and bring it on your phone.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds up until 48 hours before.  Or, better yet, get some goodwill by sharing your ticket with a friend.  They will love you even more after all the fun they had at the BCO event!

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes - see love & friendship above!
