Bass Cabaret: A Titanic Experience | The Celebration of Electronic Dance Music and Performance Art

Saturday, November 23rd 2013Burlesque - Bass Music - Aerialists - Hoops - Belly Dancing - First Class Elegance - Costume Contest - Popcorn - Sailors - Happy, Smiling Faces

Imagine an underworld where post-Edwardian elegance meets modern electronic dance music. Glowing hoops circle the hands and waists of beautiful dancers wearing intricately beaded bodices and flowing skirts—some just sporting a modest pair of pasties. There is fog everywhere and it’s lit up like the aurora borealis. Melodic sounds and heavy basslines pleasantly flood the room while the crowd ebbs and flows with every wave underneath a giant cruise liner.

You can experience this world for yourself at one of San Francisco’s unique nightlife events: Bass Cabaret. Join us for a night of costumes, dancing, awe-inspiring acts and a seductive burlesque show set to the sounds of San Francisco’s best electronic music producers and DJs. Feel and spread the love with the Bass Cabaret family at the ultimate nightclub, Mighty, for our semi-monthly party inspired by the Titanic and all things nautical. Brought to you by your hosts, Rachman Blake and Party Girl Pearl.

A feast for your ears:
Stephan Jacobs (IDentity Festival, Warped Tour)
Glitzy (Dancetronauts)
Gydyr (Laser Native)
Jake Lamante (DJZ.com)
Nebakaneza (Irie Cartel)

A feast for your eyes:
Burlesque Acts
Visual Arts
Pole Acrobatics
Aerialists
Beautiful Dancers
and more!

Only at our Titanic Experience show will ocean waves flow as you dance to the best local bass DJs under a starry night sky and redefine what it means to do "live painting," then meet a provocatively-dressed cast of gravity-defying acrobats. Top it all off with a walk down the decks during a costume contest before taking a photo in front of the world's greatest ocean liner.

In San Francisco, dance parties are a dime a dozen. Club events featuring Djs playing behind a laptop -- and not much more -- are far too common. On the other hand, Bass Cabaret is striving to do something different. Rachman and Pearl will provide an interactive experience, one that will titillate all your senses, treating you to both sensual visual performances and seductive auditory stimulation.

Bass Cabaret wants to get to know you, hear you, and provide the best nightlife experience possible. After more than a year of successful parties, Bass Cabaret continues to offer an alluring, adult version of playing dress-up with earthquaking, booty-shaking bass.

As with all of our shows, you'll be treated to an experience like no other. It's sure to be an unforgettable and magical evening. But don't take our word for it...

What should I wear??

Something post-Edwardian, fitting for a cruise liner in 1912. Something inspired by the fashion houses of Europe at the turn of the century. A chiffon dustier for the ladies layered over a long corset with a silky slip underneath. Or skip the corset and wear some beautiful, scandalous lingerie instead. Opera gloves, costume jewels. How about suspenders and striped button downs for the men? Dress like a poor Irish man riding in the 3rd class cabin. A sailor or captain. A bohemian circus sideshow costume. A steampunk outfit à la Jules Verne. Something inspired by the Orient. Anything that feels Art Nouveau. A desert-ready Burner getup... whatever makes you feel sexy!

We consistently spoil our guests with a distinct blend of electronic dance music and performance art, incredible set designs, interactive activites, costume contests, and giveaways. You'll find a special attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere -- we get to know many of our guests personally, so the event feels less like a night spent with strangers, and more like a party among friends.

We want to redefine what's possible in partying.
