Event Details

Join the IO for April Brown Bag and get ready for baseball season!

Jacques Barzun famously wrote “Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball, the rules and realities of the game.”  Prof. Bill Savage (a member of the Society for American Baseball Research) will discuss the history of the game, and maybe more importantly, the link between the game and American identity.  He will also explain why you should root for the Cubs, even though it’s easier to get tickets to a Sox game.

Back by popular demand! Free lunch!
