Description

Bark Out Loud 2016 is a fundraising event for the Ventura Police Department K-9 Unit. The Ventura Police K-9 Unit is a donation funded unit. The K-9 unit relies on donations from businesses and the public to pay for dogs, training, equipment, veterinary care and much more.

Bark out loud is a standup comedy event with food, drinks, raffle prizes and a K-9 demonstration. Doors open at 6 pm starting the complimentary beer and wine cocktail hour provided by Made West Brewery and Plan B Wine Cellars. Dinner will be served by Stephens Market and Grill starting at 7 pm. An exciting K-9 demonstration will be performed by the Officers and K-9's of the Ventura Police K9 Unit, followed by standup comedian performances by Randy Lubas, Mark Eddie and Erik Myers. During the event we will have many silent auction items to bid on including a Walden Surfboard and gift baskets just to name a few.

The K-9 unit performs a vital role in the everyday police work at the Ventura Police Department. Drug searches, tracking of lost or missing persons, and apprehending violent criminals are just some of the tasks the K-9 unit handles on a daily basis. The K-9 unit supports the community by attending schools for demonstrations and community events. Please come out and join us to help maintain this great K9 unit
