BapTab Youth presents... CHILI COOK-OFF fundraiser for missions!
Do you have the best chili recipe? Come support our mission trip and put your chili to the test!
The Chili Cook-Off will start at 12:00pm and end around 2:00pm on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 at Baptist Tabernacle in Kenosha, WI. Admission to the event will be at the door only. The cost is $8/person or $32/family (kids 3 years & under are free). You will receive 1 voting ticket for every dollar paid in admission.
There is no cost to enter your chili into the contest. Registration must be completed by Wednesday, April 23rd, 2014! Please click the link to the right to register your chili for the competition. Please bring your chili in a slow-cooker, hot and ready to serve (you may drop off your chili in the church kitchen before the morning service). In order to make sure that everyone has a chance to try your chili, please make sure to bring enough. You may also bring any extra toppings you would like available for your chili (note: cheddar cheese, sour cream, and crackers will be provided for everyone to use).
You will receive voting tickets at admission equal to the amount paid. For example, if you're paying for two people at $8/person, you will get 16 voting tickets. There will be big jars at each chili station to collect voting tickets for that chili. You can vote by either placing a ticket(s) in the jar or by putting in extra cash. Each ticket represents one dollar. The chili with the most votes (raises the most money) wins!
The 2014 BapTab Chili Cook-Off Champion will be decided by only the people. There are no judges. The chili with the most votes will be the winner. If you have the most friends at the Cook-Off, you will have a much better chance of receiving the most votes! The winner will have their name etched into the BapTab Chili Cook-Off Champion plaque which will be displayed forever for all to see. There will also be small prizes for second and third place.
All proceeds of the event will go toward the BapTab Youth mission trip this summer. Our group is going to Indianapolis and serving the community through an organization called "YouthWorks". We will be showing the love of Christ to children, the elderly, and the homeless in the city of Indianapolis.
