This is the initial fundraising project to benefit school children in Bandera. Our goal is to have a concert on Saturday, June 15 to raise enough money to feed 100 children from the 4 Bandera schools. Feeding Bandera Kids (501c3) is hoping to get the community to help us reach our goal and stop the pain of hunger.
The mission of Feeding Bandera Kids is to provide elementary schoolchildren who are
on the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Program with a backpack of food to take
home for 38 weekends during the school year. Backpack food includes easy-toprepare, ready-to-eat foods, like granola bars, juice boxes, macaroni and cheese, and oatmeal. Qualified children get meals during the school day, but lack the food over the weekends. 100% of money raised to fund a school goes to feeding that school.
The Longhorn Saloon is a great venue to get people pumped up, enjoy food, entertainment, and contribute to a great cause….feeding children! The stage overlooks the beautiful Medina River where Wade Bowen will be the headliner band presented by ZiegenBoch Brewery.
