Join Ballet San Jose on Saturday, November 3, for an unforgettable evening of electrifying dance and virtuoso music!
Accompanied by Symphony Silicon Valley under the baton of Ballet SJ's new Music Director George Daugherty, Ballet SJ's Gala Performance will showcase sneak previews of works from our upcoming 2013 season. Come see a diverse repertory of pieces ranging from "The Waltz of the Flowers" (from Ballet SJ's new production of The Nutcracker with choreography by Karen Gabay) to the haunting Meditation from Thais. Last season's exultant Bruch Violin Concerto will be performed once again on the CPA stage. We are thrilled to be joined by a cast of talented guest artists which includes internationally acclaimed violinist Rachel Lee as soloist on three different pieces and renowned soprano Kristin Clayton, a star of both San Francisco Opera and Teatro ZinZanni.
After the performance, continue the celebration on the plaza with the dancers and other artists, featuring drinks, desserts, and dancing to live music by The Bill Hopkins Rock'n Orchestra.
Proceeds from the event will help fund live music for Ballet SJ's entire season of productions and benefit its arts education program for local schools, "Music and Motion."
Purchase tickets for the event through Eventbrite. Or, if you are interested in attending the full Gala evening, including cocktail hour and dinner before the performance, please contact Erica Dessenberger at (408) 288-2820 x213 or email@example.com.
