Come and revel in a rare evening of authentic Roma music with Orkestra Eklektika on Saturday, 20 July 2013, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 10425 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles CA 90064. Orkestra Eklektika and percussionist-vocalist Rowan Storm present a range of music from Balkan Roma traditions, featuring the master Roma musician Milo Destanovski from eastern Macedonia. With an interactive dimension, both experienced and beginning dancers are encouraged to experience the exhilaration and community-bonding power of traditional line dances. The evening will feature a special appearance by Donald Cohen, author of the new title Gypsy Voices, Songs From the Romani Soul (Wise Publications).
