New Orleans, LA
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Noon-2pm - Ass-Kicking Sexy-Tasm - Burlesque for the Belly Dancer
The single most radical form of activism for a modern woman is to be comfortable in your own skin. Seriously. Whatever your story, whatever your body, many of us come to bellydance to rediscover our sensuality in a new, joyful, compassionate way. Turns out that allowing ourselves to feel strong and sassy makes every aspect of life just, well, better. Sexy walks, dynamic stage presence, and saucy combos project a powerful, unapologetically delicious you to your audience... and everyone wins.
2:30-4:30pm - Balkan ConFusion
Take this high-energy workshop to add some of that oh-so-hip Eastern European flair to your dance. We'll incorporate some of the fun footwork of Balkan line-dancing, the sass of Turkish 'gypsy' to make juicy American-style bellydance fusion combinations. Spice up your repertoire.
