The California Olive Oil Council is excited to open our doors to the public for a new monthly education series! These seminars will be led by COOC Taste Panel members on varying topics of olive oil, and will always include a brief intro to tasting olive oil. The class size is small and will always end with a light food pairing and tasting.
On Monday, November 18th:
Fran Gage, taste panel member and author of “The New American Olive Oil,” owned Pâtisserie Française in San Francisco for ten years. Since she entered the olive oil world she has become more interested in baking with extra-virgin olive oil and is having fun substituting olive oil for other fats in both traditional and innovative ways. She will share some of her experiments with you at this COOC event.
Please arrive a few minutes early and bring a notebook if you would like.
