Event Details

Imagine the joy of biting into a perfectly ripe peach, just harvested from your own backyard! Learn the fascinating world of fruit tree care and culture, and harvest bunches of dream peach all season. This lecture will focus on the techniques behind proper fruit tree - starting with soil structure. Get advice on seasonal care, planting methods, watering, applying organic fertilizers and mulches, grafting and pruning techniques and more. Without proper care, fruit trees can become diseased, produce poor or no fruit, or even die. Learn how to care for a fruit tree as if it were your own child.

Celebrate the benefits of caring for a fruit tree. A healthy fruit tree will produce a higher yield of more nutritious and better tasting fruit. Depending on many factors, a healthy tree will produce anywhere from 15 - 30 pounds of fresh, organic and juicy fruit every season. Fruit trees increase biodiversity in your neighborhood by providing habitat and food for beneficial bird and insect species. When properly placed, a fruit tree outside your home will produce shade - decreasing your air condition bill by 35%. Join a growing culture of fruit tree growers and enjoy an abundance of fruit and a healthier environment. Now is the perfect time. Bare-root trees available to take home!
