This free class will introduce you to the world of the back-end web development landscape and give you insight into turning your ideas into working applications by learning the foundations of programming with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
This will be part lecture, but also part interactive. Students will code-along with us using an online IDE platform (https://www.nitrous.io/) to get a flavor of back-end programming.
About the Instructors:
Josh hails from New York and spent several years producing film and television and dabbling in video games and political activism, before making his foray into the tech field. Josh is a graduate of General Assembly's Web Development Immersive program in Los Angeles. He loves concept design, backend development, and software architecture. He is passionate about activism and desires to create innovative technology that connects and empowers people all over the world.
