Please join us for the inaugural Baby Buggy Walk in the Park, as we celebrate our babies and encourage families to have healthy pregnancies in observance of Infant Mortality Awareness Month. Kicking off the event will be a press conference launching the "Go Before You Show" campaign and website encouraging San Antonio women to seek early prenatal care along with a commemoration for the 122 babies born in 2011 that did not reach their first birthday. The commemoration will be followed by a 1-mile walk around the park, health expo, health screenings, educational booths, FUN ZONE, and family fitness activities along with healthy snacks.
Donations of diapers and wipes will be collected to benefit the Healthy Family Network agencies working with expectant and new parents in San Antonio.
Don't miss your chance to win this signed football and other Talons memorabelia at the event. Raffle tickets are $5/each or five tickets for $20. Sign up to volunteer at the event and get a free raffle ticket.
Funds collected by the team will be presented to Metro Health to support future initatives like next year's Baby Buggy Walk.
