Berkeley-based law firm mod4 LLP will give a presentation on what you need to do to prepare, and what you should be thinking about. You’ll also get some tips on helpful resources for answering questions that pop up along the way. Whether you’re just starting out, or you’re a small business that already has employees but you’re worried about compliance, we hope you’ll learn a lot and feel more confident about being an employer.

- Federal+State compliance with employment laws: discrimination, wage & hour rules, and workers comp

Karen StambaughKaren Stambaugh is an attorney with Berkeley-based virtual law firm mod4 LLP. She worked in regulatory compliance at a couple of tech companies before going to Berkeley Law School, and now uses her legal and regulatory background to help companies of all sizes deal with lots of different types of legal matters, including employment; corporate formation, funding, and dissolution; contracts; and intellectual property. Most of the time, she lives and works in Bozeman, Montana.
