Interested in learning how creative companies give birth to new ideas and turn those ideas into innovative services and products? Then this is the class for you!

In a short, high-paced session we will introduce the concepts of design-thinking as they're taught at the Stanford d. school and elsewhere.  This is a hands on, project-based class taught by past and current d. school d. Leaders using design-thinking in different professional industries.

Core Design concepts:

- Empathize

- Define

- Ideate

- Prototype

- Test

Leave with a new tool for tackling challenging design problems, and..

- A bias towards action
- An ability to generate volumes of ideas
- An understanding of when to flare and when to focus during the design process
- An ability to turn ideas into drawn concepts, and drawn concepts into low-resolution prototypes
- An ability to reframe a problem statement to make it open up new solution spaces
- An understanding of Human-Centered Design (HCD) and its power to create relevant solutions
